Thank You From Professor Eitan Kerem, M.D.

Dear Mr. Shapiro,
I wish to acknowledge your kind contribution of the treadmill to the Cystic Fibrosis Center at Hadassah Mount Scopus.
I would like to use this opportunity to update you on the importance of exercise using the treadmill for patients with Cystic Fibrosis. In conditions such as Cystic Fibrosis, the disease causes damage to the lungs and the ability to upply sufficient oxygen may be affected. During the initial stages of the disease this cannot be detected at rest and the decrease in oxygen saturation will be observed during exercise only. By using the treadmill, we can estimate the progression of the lung disease more effectively.
Our Center treats nearly 100 patients with Cystic Fibrosis as well as patients with other lung diseases. You contribution will help them all.
On behalf of the staff and the families of Cystic Fibrosis patients, I would like to thank you for your generous contribution for the health of our children.
Thank you again and Best wishes,
Eitan Kerem, M.D.
